Edgebyte has recently launched a new Online Data Backup service.
Through a secure link to our own servers over the Internet, you will be able to automatically back up any data (including Lawbyte) stored on your network on a daily or weekly basis.
The copy of the data that we receive will be highly encrypted on our secure servers here at our Blackpool offices and stored for a pre-arranged period.
Not only is this service useful for backing up your own data, but it removes the need to send backup tapes or disks to Edgebyte by post should it need checking or correcting - we will already have a copy on site here, greatly reducing any downtime.
This system will make an ideal alternative or supplement to any existing backup system, allowing you to phase out costly and unreliable tapes and floppy disks, and is ideal for small practices where there is no regular and reliable backup scheme already in place.
The same application will support backing your data up in to a convenient single file which you can then burn to CD or DVD should you not wish to use the online backup system.
The price will be based on the amount of data being backed up, the length of time you wish the data to be stored, and the frequency of your backups - all of which can be customised by you to suit your pattern of work.
